Hello from Philly!
by daileeblossom
Hi everyone! I just finished a day of interviewing and thought I’d pop in to say hello.
I got to Philadelphia yesterday, and I really love what I’ve seen of it – lots of bike- and runner-friendly areas, what seems like an amazing restaurant scene, and a big-city-small-town feel. Here are some fun photos I took:
Plane reading – I tried to resist, but I couldn’t help it! The magazine stand was calling my name.
Journaling and sipping green tea (I brought my own tea bag and asked for hot water!)
Beautiful Philadelphia skyline, despite the drizzle
I’ve never seen such nice bike lanes! I saw so many bikers and runners on my walk – love that!
Lots of cute cafes and shops on South Street, and many of the food places are BYOB
A store called Pumpkin! I think they sell pumpkin-related things.
Sorry it’s blurry, but the photo is of Sweet Freedom – a bakery that has tons of gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, soy-free, etc. options. So neat!
All ready for my interview this morning. Not sure why my skirt is lopsided…
I’m off to dinner! Hopping on the Amtrak (love taking trains!) tomorrow and hoping to bring a Whole Foods lunch with me.
*And happy birthday to my beautiful, talented, loving mother (our birthdays are only a day apart!) – sorry I couldn’t be home to celebrate with you!!

Good luck on your interview! Cute pictures of Philly, and I love your idea of bringing your own tea bag for the plane ride and asking for hot water! Awesome tip!
Thanks, Meghan!
Good luck on your interview
Just found your blog. What type of work are you looking for?
Thanks for stopping by and saying hello! I’m actually applying for medical school.
